Suspects arrested for robberies in Fredericksburg

Three men have been arrested and charged in connection with recent felony incidents in Fredericksburg, including the robbery on the canal path on November 6 and the two robberies involving food delivery drivers at Forest Village Apartments on October 18 and 21.

On November 9, Matthew Coleman, 25, of no fixed address was arrested for unlawful entry after he broke into a room at the Thomas Jefferson Motel and was found sleeping inside.  During a search incident to his arrest, two toy guns that had been altered to appear real were found in his possession.  Following an interview with detectives, Coleman was also connected to the November 6 incident on the canal path and the October 18 incident at Forest Village.

The investigation then led to two additional suspects who were involved in the robbery of the pizza delivery driver on October 21.

Matthew Coleman is charged with attempted robbery and assault for the incident on November 6; robbery and assault for the incident on October 18; and robbery, assault by mob, and conspiracy for the incident on October 21.  Coleman is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.

Terry Santos, 20, of Fredericksburg and Jeremy Coker, 19, of Mineral are also charged with robbery, assault by mob, and conspiracy.

On November 12, Santos was arrested at his job in Spotsylvania County and Coker was arrested on the same date while he was in the area of the Central Park Townhomes, a neighborhood he is known to frequent.  Santos and Coker are also incarcerated under no bond.

Anyone with information concerning these or any other cases involving these suspects should contact Detective Wayne Hunnicutt at 540-654-5753.
