Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

ASSAULT/HIT AND RUN:

Bailey’s Pub, 1861 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 11/7 1:40 a.m.  Police responded to reports of a fight and upon arrival found an employee who had been pepper sprayed during the altercation.  Witnesses described how a disagreement started inside the business between two groups of males.  The fight moved outside to the front of the business and during the incident one male pepper sprayed another male in the face.  The bouncer intervened at this point and was also hit with the pepper spray, while the other victim of the spray fled to his Jeep in the parking lot.

The male who wielded the pepper spray then left the scene in an Acura driven by another male.  According to witnesses, the first man who had been sprayed then appeared to deliberately crash his black Jeep into the rear driver side of the Acura while it was stopped at the traffic light at Carl D Silver Parkway.  The Jeep then sped away.  Officers located the Acura in the parking lot of Walmart and identified both occupants, neither of whom was injured from the hit and run involving the Jeep.  The circumstances surrounding the use of the pepper spray are still under investigation and the driver of the Jeep has not yet been located.
