Daily Crime Report 10/22/2012

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

ROBBERY:

1600 Forest Village, 10/18 10:15 p.m.  A 31-year-old delivery driver reported that he was outside his vehicle about to deliver an order of Chinese when he was approached by a male subject who took the bag of food from him.  The two had a brief discussion and the driver attempted to get the bag back, but the unknown subject threatened several times to hit the driver in the face with a large beer bottle.  The driver then drove back to his business and notified the manager.  The offender was described as a black male in his mid 20s, approximately 5’10” to 6’ tall with a slender build and wearing a reddish brown hoodie with the hood pulled up.  The investigation is ongoing.

600 Forest Village, 10/21 10:15 p.m.  A 23-year-old pizza delivery driver reported that he was outside his vehicle with the food order in his hands when he was approached by a group of four male subjects.  The driver heard one of the subjects say something about the delivery, then the driver was suddenly tackled to the ground and all of the offenders began hitting him.  During the assault, the victim heard someone make a threat about a gun but he did not see a weapon.  The assailants stole the victim’s cell phone, cash from a pocket, and the food from the intended delivery before they ran from the scene.  The victim had minor injuries but did not require medical treatment.  The victim was only able to describe one of the offenders as a black male in his mid to late 20s, approximately 6’ and 220 pounds, with medium length dreadlocks and wearing a black hoodie.  This robbery is believed to be related to the above reported incident.  The investigation is ongoing.      

LARCENY:

Old Mill Park, 2200 Caroline St, 10/12 – 10/16 12:00 p.m.   A City employee reported that a leaf blower was stolen from the equipment storage building.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1500 block Caroline St, 10/19 10:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.  An employee of Abby Construction reported that a number of tools were stolen from his work truck.  The victim was able to locate some of the tools on a trail near where the truck had been parked.  The investigation is ongoing.

VRE lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 10/91 5:30 a.m. – 5:15 p.m.  A commuter reported that a handgun was stolen from her unlocked vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Ulta, 1696 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 10/20 1:00 p.m.  An employee reported that a female subject stole items of merchandise by concealing them in her purse.   The female then left the scene in a blue station wagon with a handicap license plate.  The investigation is ongoing.  

1300 block Brent St, 10/20 – 10/21 9:10 a.m.  A resident reported that Halloween decorations were stolen from the front yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

200 block Charles St, 10/12 – 10/21 11:30 a.m.  A Spotsylvania resident reported that his bicycle was stolen from the back yard of a friend’s house.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

VRE lot, 399 Prince Edward St, 10/15 – 10/19 7:00 p.m.  A visitor reported that an unknown person shattered the driver’s side window of her vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Chad Way, 22, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 1000 block of Carl D Silver Parkway.

Alexander Iraola, 20, of Kensington, Maryland was arrested for DUI, refusal to submit to a blood or breath test, underage possession of alcohol, and possession of marijuana in the 400 block of William Street.

ARRESTS:

Brittany Clay, 22, of Stafford was arrested for misdemeanor hit and run.

Clarence Satterwhite, 58, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.

Leonid Smorodintsev, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication, underage possession of alcohol, and resisting arrest.

Joseph Djorup, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for violation of the noise ordinance.

Nolan Kime, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for urinating in public.

Darryl Gibson, 38, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

Mustafa Hawraa Alabdali, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Clifton Rhines, 20, of King George was arrested for destruction of property and interfering with the property rights of another.

Jacob Rudman, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Judith Jackson, 45, of no fixed address was arrested for shoplifting from Sheetz.

Eric Speidel, 18, of Fredericksburg was arrested for underage possession of alcohol.

David Minnick, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Jorge Maldonado, 31, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication.

Kimberley Blair, 48, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony shoplifting from Ulta.
