Daily Crime Report 10/9/2012

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

WEAPON OFFENSES:

900 block William St, 10/7 3:50 a.m.  Police responded for reports of a shot fired outside of a William Street home.  Witnesses described seeing two male subjects arguing in the front yard and during the dispute, one of the males fired a handgun into the ground as the second male was walking away.  Officers found one of the involved parties on foot a few blocks from the scene and he was uninjured.  Officers also detained the resident of the home without incident.  Bernhard Randhahn, 44, was arrested for brandishing a firearm, illegal discharge of a firearm within the city limits, and reckless handling of a firearm.  Randhahn was released by the magistrate on a $1000 bond.  Three firearms were seized from the residence for safekeeping.    

BURGLARY:

200 block Charles St, 10/3 – 10/8 4:00 p.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person entered his home by breaking a window and stole a firearm from a bedroom.  The investigation is ongoing.

LARCENY:

Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 10/5 10:50 p.m.  A juvenile reported that his bicycle was stolen from the main entrance area while he visited a friend at the hospital.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

2900 block Charles St, 10/6 9:30 p.m. – 10/7 7:45 a.m.  A resident reported that two windows on her vehicle were broken with a large rock and her purse and a cell phone were stolen from inside.  Some of the contents of her purse were later found in a neighbor’s yard.  The investigation is ongoing.  

300 block Woodford St, 10/6 2:00 p.m. – 10/7 9:00 a.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person scattered the contents of his glove box onto the seats of his vehicle and stole his vehicle registration card.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Home Depot, 1201 Gateway Blvd, 10/8 1:30 p.m.  A contractor reported that tools were stolen from an unsecured tool box on his pickup.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1300 block Wilcox Ave, 10/7 11:00 p.m. – 10/8 5:20 p.m.  A resident reported that a piece of lawn décor was stolen from her yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

400 block Virginia Ave, 9/29 – 10/7 6:30 p.m.  A resident reported that a number of tools were stolen from a utility trailer that was parked in the driveway.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Sammy T’s, 801 Caroline St, 10/6 3:15 a.m.  The manager reported that an unknown person damaged the support rods to the exterior awning.  Surveillance video revealed the suspect to be a tall, light-skinned black male who was wearing a long-sleeved shirt, khaki shorts, and white tennis shoes during the incident.  The investigation is ongoing.

1000 block Wicklow Dr, 10/7 11:00 p.m. – 10/8 3:00 a.m.  A passerby reported that a window was broken on a parked vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

FRAUD:

800 block Cobblestone Blvd, 10/7 5:00 a.m.  A taxi driver reported that she dropped off a male subject at the apartments and he failed to pay her fare.  The investigation is ongoing.

DUI ARRESTS:

Rafael Penaranda, 32, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUID in the 3300 block of Fall Hill Avenue.

Shaun Melendy, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 1600 block of Lafayette Boulevard.

ARRESTS:

Fortino Cabrera-Rodriguez, 25, of Woodbridge was arrested on warrants from Spotsylvania charging him with domestic assault and battery and preventing a person from calling 911.

Carolyn Justice, 39, of Princeton, West Virginia was arrested on warrants from Stafford charging her with felony shoplifting and conspiracy.

Albert Deloroso, 46, of Princeton, West Virginia was arrested on warrants from Stafford charging him with felony shoplifting and conspiracy.

Erika Redmond, 18, of Stafford was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Alexander Larmour, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for violation of the noise ordinance.

Danny Chapman, 44, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

David Rojas, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony domestic assault and malicious wounding.

Alexandra Kelminsky, 21 of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Josh McMichael, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Irewood Smith, 21, of no fixed address was arrested for shoplifting from the Sunoco.

Mytia Scott, 21, of Colonial Beach was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Sherica Woolridge, 22, of Colonial Beach was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Desiree Scott, 24, of Newburg, Maryland was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Anita Cook, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Christina Johnson, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from Walmart.

Jose Diaz-Lobos, 27, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery, attempted malicious wounding, and preventing a person from calling 911.  

Alhaji Tonkara, 31, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing.

James Coleman, 41, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Allen Williams, 52, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public.
