Daily Crime Report 10/2/2012

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

ASSAULT:

200 block Lafayette Blvd, 10/2 1:00 a.m.  A 26-year-old city resident reported that he was walking on Lafayette Boulevard when he was approached by two or three males who assaulted him for no apparent reason.  After punching him numerous times, the males all left in an unknown direction.  The victim could not provide a description of his assailants.  The investigation is ongoing.   

LARCENY:

Alternative Paths School, 710 Littlepage St, 9/26 8:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.  A student reported that his iPod and PSP game were stolen from his backpack.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ABC Store, 1416 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 10/1 5:00 p.m.  An employee reported that a female subject stole a bottle of vodka by concealing it in her purse.  The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.

1400 block Caroline St, 9/25 – 10/1 6:00 p.m.  A contractor reported that a number of tools were stolen from his work van.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

1200 block Rowe St, 9/25 – 9/26 4:00 p.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person damaged a windshield wiper on her vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

100 block Caroline St, 9/28 – 10/1 10:00 a.m.  The property manager reported that an unknown person damaged a vending machine.   No suspects or witnesses at this time.   

700 block Cornell St, 9/30 – 10/1 3:00 p.m.  A resident reported that an unknown person broke a basement window at the back of her house.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

ARRESTS:

Christopher Hudson, 24, of unknown address was arrested for obstruction of justice and public intoxication.
