Warrant obtained against suspect in exposure case
The suspect has been identified in the recent case of indecent exposure that occurred outside Sammy T’s restaurant on September 17. In last week’s incident, two women who were having dinner at an outdoor table were shocked when a man stopped in front of them on the sidewalk and exposed himself. One of the victims chased after the suspect as he ran away down the street, but she stopped the pursuit when the suspect ducked down an alley.
With the help of information provided by downtown business owners and surveillance video from more than one Caroline Street eatery, investigating Officer Julie Keene identified the offender and obtained a warrant against Eddie Ray Lee, 47, of no fixed address, charging him with indecent exposure. The offense is a class 1 misdemeanor.
Eddie Ray Lee has not yet been located and arrested for this crime. Anyone with information concerning his whereabouts should call the Fredericksburg Police Department at 540-373-3122.
Lee was also arrested for a similar incident that occurred in March 2011, and during that investigation he was connected to another indecent exposure case that was reported in February of that year. Lee was found guilty in both of those cases and ordered to serve nine months in jail.
