Daily Crime Report 8/31/2012

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

ASSAULT:

Regional Library, 1201 Caroline St, 8/29 1:25 pm.  While on the scene for an unrelated complaint outside the library, an officer witnessed a male subject assaulting another male by striking him repeatedly in the face.  The victim, a 25-year-old homeless man, fell to the ground and required transport to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of his broken jaw.  The suspect was taken into custody without incident.  Antonio Hill, 30, of no fixed address was arrested for felonious assault and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. 

700 block Caroline St, 8/31 2:15 am.  Officers responded for reports of an altercation and found a group of male subjects actively fighting on the sidewalk.  The parties had become involved in a dispute after leaving Spirits Restaurant.  Two of the combatants were subsequently taken into custody:  Jose LeBron, 27, of Wesley Chapel, Florida was arrested for public intoxication and incarcerated until sober; and Richard Fouard, 29, of Stafford was arrested for public intoxication and possession of marijuana.  Fouard was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1500 bond.  All parties denied injury and were advised by the officers on obtaining their own warrants for assault if they chose to do so.   

LARCENY:

Taco Bell, 543 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 8/25 – 8/30 8:20 pm.  A customer reported that she inadvertently left her wallet at the restaurant and when she returned to retrieve it, the wallet had been found and placed in the safe by management but a quantity of cash was missing from it.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

Fredericksburg Area Museum, 1001 Princess Anne St, 8/23 – 8/25 9:00 am.  The curator reported that graffiti was found marked in crayon on the walls of the museum.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

900 block Liberty St, 8/30 1:30 pm.  A neighbor reported that he witnessed a group of children throwing rocks and breaking several windows on an unoccupied residence.  The children were identified and the property owner declined to press charges.  

VRE Lot G, 300 Prince Edward St, 8/20 – 8/30 6:20 pm.  A passerby reported that a white Dodge Intrepid that has been in the lot for some time now has two punctured tires.   No suspects or witnesses at this time.   

Quaker Steak and Lube, 1300 Central Park Blvd, 8/30 – 8/31 2:00 am.  A patron reported that two tires on her vehicle were slashed while the vehicle was parked in the lot.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Juan Ramirez-Carreno, 39, of Stafford was arrested for DUI in the 1200 block of Snowden Street.

ARRESTS:

Kwabena Owusu, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public and littering.

Christopher Jordan, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public and littering.

Gregory Jones, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public and littering.
