Daily Crime Report 8/27/2012
Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:
300 block Brock Sq, 8/24 9:20 pm. A resident reported that as he was walking home, he was confronted by two male subjects who assaulted him and stole his wallet and cell phone. One of the suspects had a handgun and struck the victim in the face with it, causing the 33-year-old victim to fall to the ground. The victim was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment of a large laceration above his eye. The suspects were described as both black males in their mid-20’s; one was wearing a white T-shirt or tank top with jeans and the second was wearing a white T-shirt or tank top with black pants. The second suspect was also wearing a blue and red ball cap and he was the one armed with the handgun. The two suspects were possibly seen prior to the robbery in the company of a white female with short, very blond hair who was driving an older blue sedan. The investigation is ongoing.
2300 block Cowan Blvd, 8/26 2:00 am. Police responded for a report of a fight between two male subjects in the parking lot. One of the males was reportedly armed. This subject left the scene prior to police arrival but he returned on foot a short time later and was taken into custody without incident. Francis Christopher Despanie, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication, brandishing a firearm, and illegal possession of a sawed off rifle. During a search of the suspect’s apartment, five firearms and related items were confiscated for safekeeping. Despanie was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
1300 block Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/25 10:00 pm. An employee at Funland reported that he heard glass breaking and saw two male subjects near a construction trailer located behind the old Shoppers Food Warehouse. Responding officers found that the windows in both of the doors on the trailer were broken and one door handle was broken off. It did appear that entry had been made to the trailer. The investigation is ongoing.
200 block Riverside Manor Blvd, 8/24 7:00 pm. A resident reported that he was in his living room when an unknown person opened the back door of his house, then quickly closed it again when a dog started barking. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 8/25 – 8/26 8:00 am. A resident reported that her vehicle was stolen from the parking lot. A short time after the victim made the report, the abandoned vehicle was found by officers on Stonewall Drive. Evidence was recovered from the vehicle and the car was returned to the owner. The investigation is ongoing.
100 block Wellington Lakes Dr, 8/23 – 8/24 8:00 am. A resident reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
1700 block Lafayette Blvd, 8/24 – 8/25 8:00 am. A resident reported that one of the license plates was stolen from her vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Wegmans, 2281 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 8/26 9:30 am – 11:30 am. A customer reported that her vehicle was scratched and damaged in the parking lot. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
David Jeffrey, 52, of no fixed address was arrested for DUI in the 1900 block of Princess Anne Street.
Suzanne Holland, 19, of Falls Church was arrested for felony shoplifting from Kohls.
John Bohlinger, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.
Dylan Farinet, 20, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Prince Edward County charging him with failure to appear in court after being charged with underage possession of alcohol.
Bryce Fulton, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.
Joseph Johnson, 45, of no fixed address was arrested for aggressive solicitation.
Caitlyn Heath, 19, of Spotsylvania was arrested for larceny and possession of cocaine.
Angela Carosi, 52, of Dumfries was arrested for felony shoplifting from Walmart.
Aaron Kelley, 29, of Stafford was arrested for possession of marijuana and on a warrant from Dickinson County charging him with failure to pay fines to the court.
Samantha Stevens, 23, of Spotsylvania was arrested for petit larceny and obtaining money by false pretenses and on a warrant from Staunton charging her with fraud.
Adrian Jackson, 29, of Spotsylvania was arrested for drinking in public.
Tony Kincaid, 20, of Bealeton was arrested for public intoxication.
