Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT:
1100 Forest Village, 8/1 11:30 am. Police responded to reports of a male subject who had been stabbed by a female at Forest Village Apartments and transported to Mary Washington Hospital in a friend’s car. The victim, a 25-year-old King George resident, was stabbed in the left side of his torso with an unknown implement and suffered a punctured lung. His injuries are not reported to be life-threatening. Multiple witness accounts led to the identification of the female suspect, who was described as the occasional girlfriend of the victim. The suspect was located by police at the apartment building where the suspect resides and where the assault occurred following an argument. Keyzha Benson, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for aggravated malicious wounding and incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
BURGLARY:
2500 block Manor Dr, 8/1 9:30 am – 2:30 pm. A resident reported that an unknown person forced entry into the apartment through the front door and stole a television, game system, and laptop computer. The investigation is ongoing.
LARCENY:
City Shop, 1000 Tyler St, 7/1 – 8/1 9:00 am. An employee reported that four light bar kits were stolen from the building. The investigation is ongoing.
ARRESTS:
Nevin Jones, 18, of Spotsylvania was arrested for urinating in public and underage possession of alcohol.
William Padgett, 53, of Fredericksburg was arrested for failure to appear in court.
David Ruffner, 36, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Eric Wallace, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.
Stephen Cameli, 33, of Fredericksburg was arrested for maintaining a public nuisance.
Paul Stoddard, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for maintaining a public nuisance.
