Daily Crime Report 6/25/2012

Recent police reports and arrests in Fredericksburg:

BURGLARY:

Rent A Center, 439 Jefferson Davis Hwy, 6/23 7:00 pm – 6/24 8:15 pm.  The owner reported that an unknown person gained access to the store by cutting a hole through the rear wall.  A hole was also cut between the Rent A Center and its neighboring business, Palm Nails.  Nothing was stolen from either business.  The investigation is ongoing.

Woehrle & Franklin Law Office, 2120 Lafayette Blvd, 6/23 5:30 pm – 6/24 10:45 am.  The owner reported that an unknown person entered the business and stole two laptop computers.  The suspect apparently gained access to the business by breaking a rear window.  The investigation is ongoing.

700 block Cobblestone Blvd, 6/25 3:20 am.  A resident reported that she was sleeping on the couch in the living room and heard noises coming from the window in her bedroom, where her visiting sister was sleeping.  The victim could see a figure through the closed blind of the window and thought she heard two voices outside.  The victim banged on the window and the suspects fled the scene.  The investigating officer later found the damaged window screen lying on the ground.  The investigation is ongoing.

POLICE IMPERSONATION:

1300 block Central Park Blvd, 6/22 3:15 pm.  A Mineral resident reported that a male subject in a black Lincoln Navigator pulled up beside her vehicle at a traffic light on Central Park Boulevard, displayed an unknown badge through his open passenger side window, and shouted at her to pull over.  When the victim picked up her cell phone to call 911, the suspicious male drove away.  The suspect was described as a heavyset white male, clean shaven and with a tight military-style haircut.  The Lincoln Navigator had tinted windows.  No known suspects at this time.

ASSAULT:

F.W. Sullivan’s, 409 William St, 6/23 12:45 am.  Police responded for a fight in the parking lot involving two male subjects.  Richard Oh, 32, of Fredericksburg was arrested for public intoxication and assault and battery.  Oh was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.  The second subject was released without charges.

LARCENY:

1000 block Roberts Ct, 6/21 9:00 pm – 6/22 5:00 am.  A resident reported that a small amount of cash was stolen from the interior of his unlocked vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

800 block College Ave, 6/21 – 6/22 4:00 am.  Three unrelated residents reported that an unknown person entered their unlocked vehicles and stole various items of value from two of the three cars.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1100 block Colony Rd, 6/21 – 6/22 11:00 am.  A resident reported that an unknown person entered his vehicle and stole loose change and a camera.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1400 block Brent St, 6/21 – 6/22 10:15 am.  A resident reported that his GPS was stolen from his vehicle.  The GPS was later recovered in a neighbor’s yard.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1400 block Augustine Ave, 6/21 – 6/22 2:15 pm.  A resident reported that his GPS and a backpack were stolen from his unlocked vehicle.  The backpack was later recovered about a block away.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

600 block Lewis St, 6/22 – 6/23 8:00 am.  A visitor reported that an unknown person entered the unlocked company vehicle used by her father and removed items from the glove box and center console.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1400 block Prince Edward St, 6/22 – 6/23 9:15 am.  A resident reported that an unknown person entered his vehicle and rummaged through the contents of the glove box and center console.  Some food items were stolen from the trunk, which was found open.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

1300 block Washington Ave, 6/22 – 6/23 7:00 am.  A resident reported that an unknown person entered her unlocked vehicle and removed the contents of the glove box onto the passenger seat.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

800 block Weedon St, 6/22 8:00 am – 3:00 pm.  A resident reported that a model tractor was stolen from her front porch.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

VANDALISM:

1000 block Prince Edward St, 6/22 9:00 pm – 6/23 8:30 am.  A Stafford resident reported that an unknown person damaged his vehicle by marking graffiti on the rear bumper.   No suspects or witnesses at this time.

F.W. Sullivan’s, 409 William St, 6/22 9:00 pm – 6/23 11:30 am.  An employee reported that graffiti was found on the rear exterior wall of the building.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

Olive Garden, 2811 Plank Rd, 6/23 2:00 pm – 3:15 pm.  A guest reported that an unknown person scratched and damaged her vehicle in the parking lot.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

DUI ARRESTS:

Gabrielle Abrams, 23, of Salisbury, North Carolina was arrested for DUI in the 1600 block of Carl D. Silver Parkway.

ARRESTS:

Rebecca Michie, 22, of Fredericksburg was arrested for shoplifting from PetSmart.

Dalton Chekos, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested for urinating in public.

Christopher Francis, 34, of Fredericksburg was arrested for felony shoplifting from Walmart.

Derek Howe, 24, of Spotsylvania was arrested for possession of marijuana.

Jeanette Duncan, 34, of Beaverdam was arrested for felony shoplifting from Walmart.

Janet Mills, 38, of Beaverdam was arrested for conspiracy to commit shoplifting and felony shoplifting from Walmart.

Rodney Heflin, 58, of Woodford was arrested for public intoxication.

Frank Smith, 56, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with failure to appear in court.

Corey Estevez, 24, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery and violation of a protective order.

Julius Childs, 55, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.

Robert Young, 26, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication.

Harry Schein, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for obstruction of justice and child endangerment.

Kimberly Morrow, 29, of Bealeton was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, administration of a drug by fraud, and resisting arrest.

Maria Hernandez, 33, of Triangle was arrested for shoplifting from Plato’s Closet.
