City Man Arrested for Marijuana and Child Pornography
On June 12, detectives from the Fredericksburg Police Department and the Virginia State Police served a search warrant at a home on Devonshire Drive after receiving information about a resident who was growing marijuana in the basement. In searching the home, detectives recovered several marijuana plants, computers, and other related evidence. Louis Philip Cox, IV, 28, of Fredericksburg was arrested at his job in the 600 block of Caroline Street and charged with the illegal manufacture of marijuana.
During the subsequent investigation and search of the suspect’s computers, detectives discovered explicit sexual material involving children. Cox was additionally charged with ten felony counts of possession of child pornography, and he is currently incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
The investigation is ongoing.
