Recent police incidents and arrests in Fredericksburg:
LARCENY:
R&R Antiques, 1001 Caroline St, 5/16 – 5/18 2:00 pm. A dealer reported that an antique figure was stolen from her booth. The figure is described as a kneeling Rastafarian man made of wood, holding a cane and with a pipe in his mouth. The figure is about 2’ tall. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Walmart, 1800 Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/22 9:40 pm – 10:00 pm. A patron reported that her purse was stolen from her shopping cart. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
WaWa, 2390 Plank Rd, 5/23 5:15 pm. A Woodford resident reported that a quantity of cash was stolen from him when he laid it on the counter while making a purchase. The suspect has been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
1400 block Payne St, 5/22 – 5/23 10:40 am. A resident reported that a quantity of loose change was stolen from the console of her unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
ARRESTS:
Rodney Jones, 42, of Fredericksburg was arrested on a warrant from Virginia Beach charging him with probation violation.
Mark Tuten, 47, of Fredericksburg was arrested for driving after being declared a habitual offender.
Bryce Griffith, 20, of Spotsylvania was arrested for public intoxication and underage possession of alcohol.
