Recent police incidents and arrests in Fredericksburg:
ASSAULT ON LAW ENFORCEMENT:
600 block Denton Cir, 5/21 9:55 pm. Police responded for reports of a male subject who appeared to be extremely intoxicated and was cursing, screaming, and pounding on the door of a resident’s home. The male subject was reportedly trying to make contact with a female who had been inside the residence, but was no longer there. When officers arrived and attempted to take the subject into custody, he immediately became combative and refused the officers’ commands. The subject was very aggressive and at one point during the ensuing struggle he grabbed the firearm of one of the arresting officers, requiring her to deploy her taser to gain his compliance.
After the subject was secured inside a patrol vehicle, it was learned that he had also caused a disturbance at the nearby 7-11 prior to arriving on Denton Circle; the 7-11 employee later barred him from coming onto the premises again. Antonio Parker, 29, of Fredericksburg was arrested for attempting to disarm law enforcement, disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, and assault on law enforcement. Parker was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
1200 block Colony Rd, 5/20 – 5/21 9:30 am. A resident reported that his laptop computer was stolen from his unsecured vehicle. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
James Bonsall, 57, of Fredericksburg was arrested for drinking in public.
Melvin Nines, 47, of no fixed address was arrested for trespassing and drinking in public.
Lord Warren, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of a schedule I,II narcotic and on a warrant from Spotsylvania charging him with receiving stolen property.
Trevin Brown, 23, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
