Daily Crime Report 5/21/2012

Recent police incidents and arrests in Fredericksburg:

UPDATE TO RAPE SUSPECT:

 The suspect sought for the rape of a juvenile (Press Release) has been arrested.  Jonathan Rodriguez Arzuaga turned himself in at Fredericksburg Police headquarters on Saturday, May 19.  He was arrested on charges of rape, forcible sodomy, and abduction, and he is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond. 

 LARCENY:

 Idlewild Management Office, 2280 Idlewild Blvd, 5/12 – 5/18 11:00 am.  The manager reported that a brass irrigation meter was stolen from the complex.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

 200 block Charles St, 5/18 – 5/19 3:10 pm.  A resident reported that her purse was stolen from her vehicle.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

 2300 block Carl D Silver Pkwy, 5/19 6:30 pm – 9:00 pm.  A Spotsylvania resident reported that a quantity of cash and a set of keys were stolen from his unlocked vehicle at the concert.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

 The Laundry Mat, 2014 Plank Rd, 5/20 3:00 pm – 4:00 pm.  A resident reported that his cell phone was stolen while he was inside the business.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

 VANDALISM:

 Mary Washington Hospital, 1001 Sam Perry Blvd, 5/18 5:00 pm.  An employee reported that the rear windshield on her vehicle was damaged with an unknown object.  No suspects or witnesses at this time.

 DUI ARRESTS:

 Tyler Bingaman, 24, of Waynesboro, Pennsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 2900 block of Blue Grey Parkway.

 Jose Jurado-Guevara, 35, of Fredericksburg was arrested for DUI in the 2300 block of Plank Road.

 Matthew Shaffer, 30, of Spotsylvania was arrested for DUI in the 200 block of Lafayette Blvd.

 ARRESTS:

 John Pratt, 60, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of alcohol in Hurkamp Park.

 John Talley, 61, of no fixed address was arrested on a warrant from Virginia State Police charging him with fraud.

 Antonio Correia-de-meld, 48, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

 Garry Fritter, 56, of no fixed address was arrested for possession of alcohol on the riverbank.

 Michael Camp, 56, of no fixed address was arrested for drinking in public.

 Wesley Moore, 28, of Spotsylvania was arrested for assault and battery.

 Juvenile female, 15, was arrested for shoplifting from Burlington Coat Factory.

 Juvenile female, 17, was arrested for shoplifting from Burlington Coat Factory.

 Felicia Dixon, 47, of no fixed address was arrested for public intoxication.

 Jose Orellana, 26, of Fredericksburg was arrested for domestic assault and battery.
