Daily Crime Report 5/18/2012
Recent police incidents and arrests in Fredericksburg:
3100 block Normandy Ave, 4/28 – 5/17 4:00 pm. A City resident reported that an acquaintance asked him to repair a laptop computer and while doing so, the complainant found files that contained pornographic images of young children. The complainant contacted police on May 13 and after the initial investigation, warrants were obtained to seize and search the computer. Based on the findings of a preliminary forensic examination of the computer, a warrant was issued against its owner.
On May 17 at 4:30 p.m. Zachary Harding, 21, of Fredericksburg was arrested while leaving his residence and charged with possession of child pornography. A search warrant was executed at Harding’s home on Normandy Avenue and several items of evidence were recovered, including additional computers and electronic equipment. Harding is incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
HGP Inc, 401 Charles St, 5/16 – 5/17 7:30 am. The owner reported that he arrived at work and found that the exterior doors to the business had been forced open. A number of items of value were placed as if they were meant to be removed from the premises, and several file drawers showed evidence of tampering, but ultimately the only items stolen were 6-10 bottles of liquor. The investigation is ongoing.
100 block Farrell Ln, 5/17 3:00 am – 3:00 pm. A resident reported that the exterior screen on a window was damaged and bent. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
Dennis Asturias Bonilla, 37, of Fredericksburg was arrested on four warrants from Prince William County charging him with aggravated sexual battery, rape, and object sexual penetration.
James Hodge, 20, of Stafford was arrested for trespassing.
Keenan Morgan, 31, of Spotsylvania was arrested for urinating in public.
Taylor Silver, 19, of Fredericksburg was arrested for possession of marijuana.
