Update: 4:40 p.m. April 7

Just after 3 p.m. today, the suspect in the murder of Nathaniel Dywayne Henderson was taken into custody in the 1000 block of Wicklow Drive.  Tyrone Tomek Johnson, 35, of Fredericksburg has been charged with first degree homicide and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.  Johnson will be incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Johnson and the victim were acquaintances, and the shooting reportedly occurred during a get-together of friends at the victim’s home on Brock Square.  A dispute broke out between Johnson and Henderson just prior to the fatal shooting.

Throughout the afternoon, officers and detectives checked a number of locations that Johnson was known to frequent.  Once found on Wicklow Drive, Johnson was arrested without incident.
