City Police Busy at Central Station over the weekend

Central Station, 1917 Princess Anne St, 1/22 12:20 am.  An officer patrolling in the area attempted to stop a Ford Thunderbird for a traffic violation, but instead of pulling over the driver turned into the parking lot of Central Station and drove around to the back of the building.  The parking lot was full of cars and people on foot, many of whom had to get out of the way of the oncoming Ford.  In the back corner of the property, the vehicle stopped; the driver got out and ran into the trees and down the steep embankment adjacent to the back parking lot.  A passenger inside the vehicle remained in his seat and was secured by another responding officer.

The offender fled across Caroline St and ran toward the river, while a police K-9 unit arrived on the scene and started a track at the bottom the hill.  The K-9 tracked along a disused access road and the officers caught up with the offender in time to see him jump into the water near the old pumping station.  The K-9 Falco apprehended the offender in the water and assisted in dragging him back to the officers along the shoreline.  Daryl Stewart, 25, of Spotsylvania was arrested for felony eluding, DUI, refusal to submit to a blood or breath test, driving while suspended, possession of marijuana, and failure to stop at a stop sign.  A quantity of marijuana was found in Stewart’s pocket during the search incident to his arrest.  Stewart’s passenger, Larneza Williams, 22, of Alexandria was also arrested and charged with public intoxication.  Prior to being transported to the Rappahannock Regional Jail, Stewart was transported by ambulance to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment of injuries he received from jumping down the embankment and being apprehended by the K-9.  Stewart also had a laceration to his face which he stated was the result of an assault at Central Station earlier in the evening.

Central Station, 1917 Princess Anne St, 1/23 12:30 am.  Police responded to reports of an assault inside the business and found one of the bouncers suffering from a severe laceration to his head and loss of consciousness.  The victim stated that a male patron struck him in the head with a beer bottle after the patron was removed from dancing on top of the speakers.  The suspect fled the scene prior to police arrival and he has not yet been identified.  The victim was transported to Mary Washington Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Ashley Borum, 24, of Alexandria was arrested in the 1900 block of Princess Anne St after causing a minor accident in the parking lot of Central Station at approximately 2:00 am on Sunday morning.

Not surprised – this hole is nothing but an open air drug market. Go visit one Friday night, or probably any night of the week, it won’t take long to figure out what is going on! I went once, that was enough! Wake up Fredericksburg PD and shut this trash hole down!
