Recount in AG race is under way in Fredericksburg

Ann Reamy, left, and Alice Collins feed Fredericksburg ballots into a tabulator as the first step in checking all votes were correctly read.

Election officials are at the Dorothy Hart Community Center today, going through the recount process in the state attorney general’s race.

Two teams of pairs are feeding all ballots into two tabulators that are reviewing the votes cast in the race between Mark Herring and Mark Obenshain.

Any votes that can’t be read by the machine are then reviewed individually.
