Extended voting hours this week
Some Fredericksburg-area voting registrars are extending absentee voting hours this week because they closed their offices during Hurricane Sandy.
The localities with new hours are:
Fredericksburg
8:30 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday and Friday
9 a.m.-8 p.m. Saturday
Orange
8 a.m.-6 p.m. Wednesday, Thursday and Friday
8 a.m. – 5 p.m. Saturday
Westmoreland
8:30 a.m.-6:30 p.m.Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Culpeper
8 a.m.- 7 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday
8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and Saturday
Stafford, Spotsylvania, King George and Caroline counties will all keep the same hours as scheduled because they did not close their offices Monday or Tuesday.
