The City Council won’t have a work session before its meeting this week.
Here’s the agenda for the meeting at 7:30 p.m. meeting Tuesday in council chambers of City Hall. Some highlights:
- Telegraph Hill- The building of the 79-home subdivision has been a controversial topic because of its location. The entrance into the 29-acre site is almost directly across Lafayette from the southern entrance to Lee Drive and the Civil War park and has generated concerns from several residents , the Civil War Trust and the National Park Service. It was recommended for approval by the Planning Commission in late July. Here’s the memo.
- Chickens and Bees- The city has been considering allowing residents to keep chickens and bees in residential areas. Here’s a story about many of the details discussed in a work session last month. Here’s the city attorney’s memo to the council about the proposed ordinance.
- Cannon- City Councilman Matt Kelly will ask the council about the city working with the National Guard Association to restore the cannon that sits in front of the fire station on Princess Anne Street. Read about it here.
