Heat closings and changes
UPDATE 2:39 p.m. All Bluemont concerts will be moved inside today. The Fredericksburg show will be in the auditorium at James Monroe High School, at 2300 Washington Ave.
We’ll post changes and closings due to the heat here throughout the day.
- Motts Reservoir will be closing at 3pm today due to extreme heat.
-Hurkamp Park Farmer’s Market closed at noon.
-Tonight’s Bluemont concert in Fredericksburg will likely be moved inside to James Monroe High School.
-Orange County has opened a cooling shelter at the Orange Rescue Squad building from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday in anticipation of the weekend’s extreme
heat.
