Lafayette Upper Elementary School to get new principal

In January, Fredericksburg City Public Schools will begin searching for a new principal for Lafayette Upper Elementary School.

The current principal, Jonathan Russ, will become the Director of Assessment and Accountability for the school system, according to his letter in the school’s January newsletter.

Russ has been the principal at LUES for the last seven years.

He will replace Dennis Keffer, who is retiring.

Russ will officially begin his new position January 1, but continue to serve as principal until his replacement is selected.
