Fredericksburg Council and staff “impressed” with Spotsy courthouse

After a detailed tour of the Spotsylvania Courthouse Wednesday, Fredericksburg city officials said they were impressed with what they saw.

City Manager Beverly Cameron said he was very impressed with the quality of the project.

Several staffers from city departments such as the attorney’s office, public facilities and the Sheriff’s department attended the tour, as well as City Council members Mary Katherine Greenlaw, Kerry Devine and Fred Howe III participated in the tour.

David Breedin, the project manager for building Spotsylvania’s courthouse, lead the tour.

The tour took the group through courtrooms, jury deliberation rooms, prisoner holding cells and other parts of the courthouse. They opened doors, poked their heads under desks, and examined the new courthouse with great curiosity.
