Long-term plans for the city’s development will be up for discussion early next week, as the Economic Development Authority hosts a special meeting Monday at 8 a.m. at the Courtyard by Marriott downtown. The EDA will meet with its citizen advisory committee to talk about a five-year strategic plan. The group will also hear presentations about the Virginia Main Street program for downtown development and tax increment financing.
