Park & Shop entrance to close at night

Traffic alert: 

The main entrance to Eagle Village, formerly Park & Shop, at U.S. 1 and College Avenue in Fredericskburg will close during the evening hours beginning tonight through Wednesday.

The entrance will be closed from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. to allow for the installation of a water line at the intersection.

The shopping center will be accessible from Augustine Avenue during the construction period.

    The headline reads “Major city intersection to close”, but from the details in the article and in your blog, it appears that only the actual entrance to the shopping center will close. This is beyond misleading, it’s simply wrong. In order for the intersection to close, Route 1 would have to be closed as well.

    Someone needs to correct this error.
