Coyote spotted in backyard near battlefield

Lori Fitzpatrick, who lives on Hillcrest Drive in the city, adjacent to the battlefield, sent this picture of what she says is a coyote she spotted in her backyard on Wednesday evening.

Fitzpatrick said this was the only shot she was able to snap of the animal. This one was taken from inside her home. "When I opened the window to get another pic, I startled it and it ran back into the woods, (thank goodness!)" Fitzpatrick wrote in an e-mail.

Anybody else seen coyotes in the city lately?
