Follow us to the inauguration
A lot of us here spent our weekend digging out long johns, buying Under Armour and trying to figure out how to have at least a few ounces of fashion sense while dressing to spend 8 hours in 30-degree temperatures (Actually, according to Weather.com, it may not feel any warmer than 19 degrees tomorrow in D.C.).
We’ll have several reporters and photographers in Washington tomorrow covering the inauguration. We will be posting updates to Fredericksburg.com’s homepage throughout the day. We’ll be catching up with locals who are attending, so you may see someone you know.
For those of you who want to experience the National Mall tomorrow without getting up at 3:30 a.m. or dressing for an Arctic adventure (or for my family members, who just want to make sure I’m still alive), you can follow our up-to-the-minute updates on our Twitter feeds. I’ll be posting at Twitter.com/citybeatblog, reporter Ellen Biltz will be at Twitter.com/ellenbiltz and some of our newsroom interns will be posting to Twitter.com/FLSinDC.
If you are a Twitter user (not an exclusive club, see here), follow all three of us and you can send us questions. I’m not making any promises about how responsive we’ll be, and if cell phone service is out tomorrow, all bets are off, but consider this your last chance to hitch a (virtual) trip to the inauguration!
