College Terrace takes to the Web

In case you’re wondering whether you live in College Terrace, Neighborhood Association head Michael Costa has included this definition in his intro to the group’s new blog, which will be added to the blogroll here on CityBeat:

College Terrace is a neighborhood in downtown Fredericksburg Virginia, encompassing

approximately 300 homes. It is bounded in the south by William St., to the north by the canal and the college intramural fields, to the west by the main campus, and to the east by Kenmore Avenue (though I include Mary Ball St.).

Recognizing that not everybody can make it out to evening association meetings, Costa started the blog to keep people informed about what the association is doing, and on what’s going on in the neighborhood.

Already up on the blog are updates on the botanical garden local Master Gardeners are building at the former site of the Cossey water plant (see a story we did on this project here), and a reminder that the College Terrace, College Heights and Maury neighborhood associations are teaming up to hold a forum for the three commonwealth’s attorney candidates next Wednesday at 7 p.m. at City Hall.
