D’oh!

Have I ever shared my theory on how covering Fredericksburg is like living in the movie Groundhog Day?

From the PD’s daily crime report:

Confederate Cemetery, 1000 block Washington Ave, 5/9 2:00 am. An officer patrolling in the

area came upon a vehicle crashed into the cemetery wall. A male subject was standing outside

the vehicle and advised that he had been a passenger in the back seat when the accident

occurred. This subject was able to provide information on the driver who had fled the

immediate area on foot. The investigating officer also determined that the vehicle which

crashed into the wall had just been involved in a confrontation in the 1100 block of Caroline

St, during which the driver stopped in the middle of the roadway and backed into a vehicle

driven by his ex-wife, causing damage to the headlights and grill. The offending driver sped

from the scene of that incident just prior to the accident on Washington Ave. Warrants were

obtained for Scott Dwyer, 26, of Spotsylvania charging him with aggressive driving and two

counts of hit and run. Dwyer had not been arrested by the time of this report.

The city needs to give that wall the Homeland Security treatement -you kow ..those HUGE immobile post disguised as big flower pots….

It ought to be cheaper to replace crunched flower pots than walls…

Solid granite boulders, you could call them historic restoration as that’s a comon va stone.

i agree. it is ridiculous how often this happens.
Boulders, huge planters filled with flowers, any of these would add beauty and act as a buffer.
    That poor wall!
