City bells to honor Judge Scott

From City Hall:

The City of Fredericksburg, the University of Mary Washington and some downtown churches will toll their bells at 12 Noon on Saturday, April 26 in honor of Circuit Court Judge John Scott who passed away on April 16.  The “Fredericksburg Peal” will include the ringing of the Revere Bell in the 1852 Circuit Courthouse where Judge Scott presided. The bells will toll 12 times, representing the 12 years of dedicated service Judge Scott gave the City of Fredericksburg. A memorial service for Circuit Court Judge John Scott is scheduled for Saturday, April 26, at 9 a.m. at James Monroe High School in Fredericksburg.
