Stressing over signs
I’ve recently gotten lots of feedback from folks who don’t like looking at City Council campaign signs amid the springtime blossoms. This comment pretty much sums up what all the others have said:
Anybody taken a look at the sheer magnitude of local campaign signs this
year? I don’t believe I have ever seen so many and signs as big as they are.
I am not talking about any one candidate both Tomzak and Girvan are making a
mess of the spring time. Girvan has one at the corner of littlepage and
Hanover Street that obstructs the view of oncoming traffic and Tomzak has
one by the University that is huge.
Non-candidates aren’t the only ones worrying about campaign signs. Sign anxiety made today’s city police report:
1000 block Lafayette Blvd, 3/14 – 3/25 12:30 pm. A resident reported that a number of her signs have been damaged over the past two weeks by various means. The signs were located throughout the city. No suspects or witnesses at this time.
