Kafia Hosh reports today that Stafford County Planning Commissioners will get a 67 percent raise come Jan. 1. That will bring commissioners’ yearly salaries to $10,000. Supervisors in that county will make $25,000 in 2008, with the board chairman getting a $900 bonus.
Fredericksburg’s elected and appointed official salaries are more meager. The Planning Commissioners work for free, and the City Council members get $12,000 a year. The Mayor gets $13,000.
