What to expect tomorrow night
Here’s just a little more detail on how things will work at tomorrow night’s “Ask the Assessor” session. This from city PIO Beth Brown:
The meeting will follow a regular Council schedule, with the Blue Ridge presentation occurring during the “Presentation” portion of the agenda. After the presentation is concluded, the next agenda item is “Comments from the Public”. At that time, citizens who wish to address the City Council may speak for up to 5 minutes each. Speakers are requested to contact Mary Smith, City Clerk, at (540)372-1010 to be added to the Speaker’s List.
Once the “Comments from the Public” portion of the meeting has concluded, the Mayor will invite residents who wish to have further discussion of the re-assessment process to meet with [Commissioner of the Revenue Lois] Jacob, and the representatives from Blue Ridge Mass Appraisals, in the large conference room on the 2nd floor of City Hall.
