Stafford schools mentioned in the New York Times

Throughout the area, students went to school today amid rumors of violence connected to the end of the world. Superintendents in both Stafford and Spotsylvania schools addressed these rumors with letters to parents and increased security at schools.

And these rumors aren’t limited to the Fredericksburg area. School officials closed schools in Michigan because of growing concern, and superintendents throughout the country had to respond to uneasy parents.

The New York Times reports on these responses, and includes part of Stafford Superintendent Randy Bridges’ letter to students and parents.
