Brooke Point’s marching band to perform at bowl game

The Brooke Point Blackhawks Marching Band is scheduled to perform during half-time at the Russell Athletic Bowl Game in Orlando, Florida, on Friday, December 28th.  The game, featuring Virginia Tech and Rutgers University, is scheduled to air on ESPN at 5:30 p.m.  This is the first appearance in a bowl game for Brooke Point High School’s marching band.  The BPHS Marching Band under the direction of Veronica Sutherland will also perform in the Macy’s Parade at Universal Studios on Thursday, December 27, at 8 p.m.

For parents and community members unable to travel to Florida, a spirit night is being held at Buffalo Wild Wings Restaurant in the Stafford Marketplace.  Band boosters are hoping to be able to have a live feed from the stadium to view the half-time performance.
