Margaret Brent Elementary sending aid to Hurricane Sandy victims

Margaret Brent Elementary in Stafford will be sending supplies to Broad Channel, NY on Nov. 19 in an effort to help victims of Hurricane Sandy.

One of the elementary school’s teachers grew up in Broad Channel and made them aware of the need in the town.

Their goal is to aid the students and families of the local public school and help rebuild their facilities and community.

“This will be a long-term effort but we want to send a large amount of supplies as soon as possible,” said a release from the school system.

Donations can be dropped off at the Margaret Brent, located at 2125 Mountain View Road during school hours.
