UMW Board of Visitors Meets

The University of Mary Washington Board of Visitors meets today, September 20.

Their meeting begins with a UMW Foundation orientation session for new members of the Board of Visitors at 2 p.m. in the Minor Board Room of the Jepson Alumni Executive Center.

Board members are then invited to participate in the Convergence Center Groundbreaking Ceremony on the Fredericksburg Campus at 4:30 p.m.

On Friday, September 21, committee meetings of the Board begin at 8 a.m. in the Minor Board Room.

Board Members will then participate in the Hyatt Place Hotel groundbreaking ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at Eagle Village. Lunch will be hosted by the UMW Foundation at Home Team Grill at Eagle Village immediately following the ceremony.

Committee meetings will resume at 1:45 p.m. at the Jepson Alumni Executive Center. The committees meeting include the Audit committee, the Nominating and Governance committee, the Advancement, Communications and External Affairs committee, the Student Affairs committee, the Academic Affairs committee and the Administration, Finance and Facilities committee on Friday.

The Mason/Randolph Halls dedication ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. on the Fredericksburg campus.

A faculty reception on the lawn at Brompton will begin at 6 p.m.

The meeting will resume at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday in the Minor Board Room for the full board meeting.

Board Members are invited to attend the Family Weekend picnic on Ball Circle from 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m.

These are open meetings. No public comment will be taken.
