On July 1, King George Schools will have a new superintendent–Robert Benson. The next day, King George’s interim supervisor will start his new job in Petersburg.
Petersburg’s School Board voted Wednesday night to name Stanley Jones as the interim superintendent. Jones had previously led Caroline County Schools.
Last week, King George’s School Board hired Benson to lead the division. Benson will join King George Schools from Cobb County, Ga where he has been an area assistant superintendent.
