KG student collecting supplies for babies in need

A King George High School student will collect baby items for the nonprofit Newborns in Need this weekend. Destiny LeVere will take donations Saturday, May 19, from noon to midnight at the King George County Relay for Life at King George Middle School.

Requested donations include:

  • Receiving blankets OR Flannel and ribbon to make receiving blankets
  • Bibs and burp cloths
  • Tote bag
  • Body and bath care items
  • Blankets and basic sleepwear
  • Newborn diapers, soap and baby wipes
  • Baby wash, wipes, a quilt, infant formula
  • Clothing, diapers, formula, baby hygiene products, fleece blankets
  • Toys
  • Baby Carriers, small cribs, play pens, etc.
  • Anything hand knit or crocheted–hats, booties, gloves, etc.
