Scooping up some social responsibility tips
The co-founders of Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream will dish out advice on socially conscious business principles this fall.
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield will be the featured speakers at the Fredericksburg Forum on Nov. 10.
The lecture, “An Evening of Entrepreneurial Spirit, Social Responsibility and Radical Business Philosophy” will be held at 8 p.m. in the Dodd Auditorium at the University of Mary Washington.
Cohen and Greenfield offered their first scoop of ice cream in 1978 in Burlington, Vt. Since then, the company has become synonymous with social consciousness.
The pair penned a bestselling book, “Ben & Jerry’s Double Dip: How to Run a Values-Led Business and Make Money Too.”
Tickets to the forum will be available June 4 at umw.edu/forum. For details, call 540/654-1065.
