Students to host car show

Want to see cars from the 30s? Got an award-worthy vehicle?

Saturday (March 31), the SkillsUSA chapters of North Stafford and Stafford high schools will hold the sixth annual SkillsUSA Car show from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at North Stafford High School.

Registration is $15 per vehicle, and the show is free to attend. There will be Top-30 format awards, as well as custom awards for Best Paint, Best Engineering, Ladies’ Choice and Best in Show.

The event will also feature food, music, vendors and displays.

And participants can “Cover the Rust” of a classic car needing a new paint job. The goal is to cover that rusty body with money, which will be donated to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Center.

The show is run by the two chapters’ student officers, student members and advisors.
