Ferry Farm still without heat; students to relocate
From Stafford County Public Schools:
Further damage has been discovered to the gas line at Ferry Farm Elementary School making it impossible to provide heat to the school building. Repair work will continue on Thursday, January 12.
The students and staff of Ferry Farm Elementary School will convene at Dixon Smith Middle School, located at 503 Deacon Road at the regular time (classes start at 9 a.m.) on Thursday morning. All buses will run their regularly scheduled routes ending at Dixon Smith and car riders should be dropped off at Dixon Smith no earlier than 8:40 a.m.
The Kindergarten and First Grade students and staff will be transported next door to Grafton Village Elementary School where they will spend their day. All students and staff in grades two through five will remain at Dixon Smith Middle School.
Dismissal for all students will be from Dixon Smith Middle School at 3:30 p.m.
Students attending the YMCA before and after program at Ferry Farm may be dropped at the Grafton Village Elementary YMCA program during the regular time.
