King George school bus involved in accident
No students were injured in an accident this morning involving a King George County school bus, schools Supervisor of Transportation Ray Newton said.
Newton said a car struck the front of the bus at 7:04 a.m. as it made a left-hand turn onto Dahlgren Road from a Fas Mart.
The bus, which was carrying 24 middle-schoolers, was making a left toward King George Middle School.
The driver of the bus was transported to the hospital with a strained muscle and is expected to be back to work on Monday, Newton said. Newton said the division will have to replace the bus’s front bumper.
I’m still waiting to hear from state police. Check back for more details.
