Portion of College Avenue will be closed Saturday
The University of Mary Washington sent the following message regarding Saturday’s closure of College Avenue:
On Saturday, Oct. 15, College Avenue will be closed from Buckner Street to Brent Street from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. (Rain Date is Monday, October 17.) Vehicles will not be allowed to park in this area and must be removed by 8 a.m., October 15. The closure is necessary to facilitate the university’s removal of several trees that received structural damage in recent storms. Traffic will be detoured from College Avenue around the block, Buckner Street to Colony Lane to Brent Street to College Avenue again.
