Drew Middle asks for your vote for a $20,000 grant

Drew Middle School is competing for a $20,000 “school transformation grant.” The Stafford County school, built in 1951, is currently ranked 10th of more than 500 schools in the Parenting Magazine MomCongress School Transformation Contest. You can vote for Drew here. Voting ends Friday.

A write-up on the contest website calls Drew an “amazing place for our kids to learn and mature.”

“The MomCongress grant could make many longstanding wishes come true for this wonderful school, perhaps accelerating insertion of current learning technology tools to bring Drew’s resources in line with those of other county schools, putting up a school marquee sign, making funds available to replace sorely worn equipment in the athletic department, and augmenting resources available both to academic programs and those in the practical and performing arts departments as well.”
