New King George Middle principal named

Kevin Newman, who has been principal of Colonial Beach Elementary School for five years, will be King George Middle School’s new principal effective Friday.

The King George County School Board approved his hiring at a meeting today. He will make $84,500 annually.

Newman replaces Seidah Ashshaheed, who recently became principal of Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School in Falls Church.
