New principal named at Garrisonville Elementary; new APs at North Stafford and Mountain View high schools

The Stafford County School Board tonight appointed a new principal at Garrisonville Elementary School, as well as new assistant principals at North Stafford and Mountain View high schools.

Marcie Fields, who was most recently a supervisor of special education, will be the new principal at Garrisonville Elementary. Fields was also an assistant principal at Park Ridge Elementary School for four years.

Dan Hornick, who was most recently a principal intern at North Stafford High School, has been named an assistant principal at North Stafford. Hornick has also been the lead teacher of Stafford High School’s social studies department.

Eric Cooke, who was most recently a P.E. teacher at Mountain View High School, has been named an assistant principal at Mountain View.  Cooke also briefly served as acting assistant principal at Moncure Elementary in January 2010.
