Stafford schools makeup days
Stafford County’s school system issued the following release today:
Due to inclement weather closures and delays this week, Stafford Schools has now missed the equivalent of 6 school days. The Presidents’ Day holiday scheduled on February 21 along with the early release days on February 18, April 22 and May 27, are now full instructional days. All Stafford County Public Schools and administrative offices will be open on Monday, February 21, 2011.
Should Stafford County Schools miss further instructional time, the teacher work day on March 11 will become an instructional day. The teacher workday on Friday, January 28, will remain a workday with no school for students. All staff and faculty will report at 10 a.m. The pupil transportation and school nurse training / inservice sessions will begin at 10 a.m. Maintenance and custodial staff will report at 8 a.m. to prepare the schools for the arrival of the staff.
Student exams missed on Thursday, Jan. 27, will be made up on Tuesday, February 1st, at the high school level, and on Monday, January 31st, (unless otherwise specified at the school) at the middle school level.
