2011-12 Stafford schools course catalog

The Stafford County School Board is scheduled to approve the division’s 2011-12 course catalog at its meeting Jan. 11.  You can check out the proposed catalog here.

Here’s some information from the division’s website, staffordschools.net:

Each year the Program of Studies/Course Catalog is reviewed by the Instructional Staff, Principals, and High School Counselors for additions, deletions, and changes in course offerings at the high school level.

The Course Catalog serves as a guide to parents, students, teachers and guidance counselors in assisting students in the selection of high school courses. Other pertinent information regarding graduation requirements and suggested pathways are included in the Course Catalog.

 

The following courses will be added to the Program of Studies for 2011-2012:
  • Photo Journalism IV
  • Math SOL Remediation
  • English SOL Remediation
  • IB Visual Arts
  • IB Theatre
  • Arts and IB Music
  • Art History
  • AP Art History
  • Jazz Workshop
