Andre Nougaret leaving Stafford schools; new superintendent starts

Longtime Stafford County school administrator Andre Nougaret is leaving the division after more than 30 years as a teacher, principal and administrator.

Nougaret has served as acting superintendent twice. His last stint as acting superintendent ended Friday.

Nougaret is currently being paid on an hourly basis to assist the new superintendent, Randy Bridges, with his transition, said school spokeswoman Valerie Cottongim. Bridges started the job Monday and plans to visit every school before winter break.
